THE REGIONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE IN 2009/10
Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia start with two clubs in the league each, Bosnia and Herzegovina with one representative while Budućnost from Montenegro and Cedevita from Croatia were given a wild-card. Other places in the league were filled according to the national standing. The best country (Serbia) was given two additional places while the second best (Croatia) and third best country (Bosnia and Herzegovina) were also given one additional place. Serbia was also the best according to the coefficient from the 2007/08 and 2008/09 season and was therefore given one more place in the league for the 2009/2010. BC Cedevita was given a wild.card according to the decision of the NLB League Board.
